Frequently Asked Questions

What types of therapy do you use?

As an integrative therapist, I use various techniques that are tailored to each client's needs. All of the approaches I draw on are evidence based and person-centred at their core.

In my practice I use a trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming and anti-oppressive model. In order to facilitate deeper-level healing and recovery work, I draw on somatic-based approaches such as Somatic Experiencing and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I'm also trained in Observed & Experiential Integration (OEI) Level 1.

Ultimately, as research shows, the therapeutic relationship is a key factor in predicting success. Having trust and safety in the counselling room is essential, so you will find that transparency is a prominent feature in my approach.
